Our funeral options let you focus on being with your loved ones during your time of grief.
We offer cremation or burial, either as an attended ceremony or a non-attended service. Non-attended services allow you to plan and hold celebrations later if you wish.
You can hold a service at Cambridge Crematorium on Huntingdon Road or in the chapel at Newmarket Road Cemetery.
All our services include providing somebody to help you arrange the funeral. They will provide guidance and support, including with completing the necessary paperwork.
We’ll collect your loved one into our care during office hours, within the local area. And we’ll provide a standard wood veneer coffin.
Attended ceremonies cost £2,200 and non-attended options cost £1,200. Extra costs might apply in some cases – see below.
Cremation services
Unattended cremation
Some families prefer not to attend the cremation. Doing this allows you to plan and hold a life celebration later if you wish.
This option costs £1,200. It provides everything you would expect from a dignified funeral.
- We’ll provide a dedicated funeral arranger, who can guide and assist you and help with the paperwork.
- We’ll bring your loved one into our care from hospital during office hours, within the local area.
- We’ll provide a standard wood veneer coffin and cover the cremation fees.
Doctor’s fees and the cost of removal from a non-hospital environment are not included – these will cost £82 and £250 respectively, if needed. We’ll also apply an extra charge of £250 if a larger coffin or extra staff are required.
Attended cremation
Our attended cremation service provides a dignified and cost-effective funeral at one of the chapels at our crematorium.
On the day of the funeral we’ll place your loved one on the catafalque in the chapel before you arrive.
This option costs £2,200. It provides everything you would expect from a dignified funeral.
- We’ll provide a dedicated funeral arranger, who can guide and assist you and help with the paperwork.
- We’ll bring your loved one into our care from hospital during office hours, within the local area.
- We’ll provide a standard wood veneer coffin and cover the cremation fees.
If you want a minister or civil celebrant to lead the service, we can help you arrange it. This will incur an additional fee.

This option costs £1,650. It provides everything you would expect from a dignified funeral.

- We’ll provide a standard wood veneer coffin and cover the cremation fees.
- The cremation will take place at 10.30am in the East Chapel on a date of your choice, subject to availability. Up to 10 attendees can attend for 10 minutes in chapel, while two or three pieces of music of your choosing play. We will place your loved one on the catafalque in the chapel prior to your arrival.

Burial services
Most burials in unpurchased graves take place at Newmarket Road Cemetery. We hold the rights to the grave and might reopen it in the future to accommodate an unrelated individual.
If you prefer to purchase an exclusive grave, you can do so at Huntingdon Road Cemetery. This will allow you to place a memorial or headstone or have a further interment later in the same grave.
