All social landlords are required to appoint a designated Health and Safety Lead. We have assigned this role to the Executive Councillor for Finance and Resources.
The lead’s function is to:
- monitor our compliance with housing health and safety requirements
- assess our risk of failing to comply with the requirements
- notify the Regulator of Social Housing of any risks or failures to comply
- advise us how to address risks and failures to comply
The Health and Safety Lead is not:
- responsible for our compliance with housing health and safety requirements
- liable for a failure by us to comply with the requirements
