Cambridge Folk Festival is back, following the success of the 2026 event with its new format of city venue events, culminating in the sold-out weekend event in Cherry Hinton Hall.
Ahead of early bird tickets going on sale for the Cherry Hinton Hall weekend this Friday, the organisers are delighted to announce that following feedback from audiences, the Friday night has been added to the line-up, making next year’s Cherry Hinton Hall event a three-day weekend: 30 July to 1 August.

A variety of ‘Cambridge Folk Festival Presents’ events in multiple venues across the city during the run up to the Cherry Hinton Hall weekend will return for 2027, after the overwhelming success of this innovative new initiative earlier this year.
Cllr Mike Todd-Jones, Cabinet Member for Communities for Cambridge City Council said: “We’re delighted with the success of the 2026 festival and the response to our new city-wide format, culminating with the main festival weekend at Cherry Hinton Hall. We’ve listened closely to our audiences, and the message was clear – they loved the festival and the weekend in Cherry Hinton, and want the Friday evening back.
“Bringing Friday evening back into the Cherry Hinton Hall weekend gives us the opportunity to build on that success and create an even bigger weekend of music, while our Cambridge Folk Festival Presents programme will continue to bring fantastic folk and roots music to venues across the city throughout the year.
“We’re excited about what’s ahead and can’t wait to welcome audiences back to the festival in 2027.”
Cherry Hinton Hall Early Bird Weekend ticket prices are:

- Concession or young adult (14 to 25): £120
- Under-13s: free
