Take pride in Cambridge with the Great British Spring Clean

This year will mark the tenth annual Great British Spring Clean, managed by Keep Britain Tidy, with the theme being ‘environment belongs to everyone’.

Taking place from 21 March to 6 April, millions of litter heroes will be joining forces across the UK and pledging to help keep their communities clean.

During the Great British Spring Clean, the council will be organising a series of litter picking events where everyone can come together and take pride in some the city’s most popular open spaces.

The council is also offering support to groups and individuals who wish to organise their own local litter picking events, including through providing litter pickers, hi-visibility vests, gloves, and rubbish bags. Residents can also arrange a collection for the bags of litter produced. More information on organising a clean up event or litter picking kits for volunteers to make a booking for equipment can be found here.
