This map shows the recycling points in Cambridge. Full information about what can be recycled at each point is listed below the map.
There are also household recycling centres (also known as ‘tips’) at Milton and Thriplow.
If you often run out of space in your recycling bin at home, you can order an extra blue bin for free. We also accept some additional recycling left out with your bin.
Batteries and small electrical items must be recycled separately as they can cause fires in bin lorries and recycling sorting facilities.
- If you live in a house, small batteries can be put in a clear bag and placed on top of any of your wheelie bins.
- For larger batteries and small electrical items, or if you live in a flat, please search for your nearest recycling point on the Recycle Your Electricals website.
The recycling points on Osprey Drive and St Catherine’s Road are temporarily closed. We apologise for any inconvenience this causes.
Certain items can only be recycled if they meet specific criteria.
- Cardboard must be broken down and flattened. Do not leave it next to the bins – you could face a fine for flytipping.
- Small electrical items with a plug or battery can be recycled if they are no bigger than 29cm along its largest side.
