Elections were held on 7 May to elect 15 of Cambridge City Council's 42 councillors.
Following the elections, the Council now consists of:
- 17 Labour councillors
- 12 Green Party councillors
- 11 Liberal Democrat councillors
- 1 Conservative councillor
- 1 Your Party councillor
As no political party has more than half of the 42 seats, no party has automatic control of the council.
The political parties held discussions on how to form an administration, and subsequently Cllr Katie Thornburrow, Leader of the Labour Group on the council, was elected as the new Leader of the Council, with a minority Labour administration.
Cllr Thornburrow has appointed a Cabinet with six other Labour councillors.
