Clean air poster competition

Calling all children aged 9 to 11 (years 5 and 6)! Would you like to see your art displayed around the city? We need your help to promote the importance of clean air to residents and visitors.

Person drawing on plain paper

Your task is to design a poster on plain A4 paper that reflects the theme ‘What clean air means to me’.

Keep your design simple and easy to read and see. It could be anything you can imagine, such as:

  • what people can do to improve air quality
  • the impact bad air quality has on the planet
  • the health impacts of bad air quality on people
  • or anything else!

Your design should be in portrait layout and be clear and easy to scan to create the finished poster. Do not use glitter or stick anything to it, or use highlighter pens as those colours do not print well.

We’ll display the top three posters on air-quality monitoring cabinets. We will use them in other promotional materials about the importance of clean air and improving air quality. We will also share all entries on our website.

The three winners will receive a £25 token for art and craft supplies, and the chance to come and see their winning poster on the cabinet.
