You can hire the Campkin Road Community Centre in north Cambridge for your event or activity.
The centre only opens for pre-arranged activities. There are no drop-in facilities, unlike at some of our larger community centres.
Public-use rooms
The hall (45m2) is ideal for conferences, parties, and dance or exercise classes. Tables and chairs and a large TV are available.
Room 1 (9m2) and Room 2 (8m2) are small meeting rooms suitable for up to eight people. You can use them for meetings, tutoring and small groups.
The communal kitchen (10m2) is stocked with crockery, mugs, and cutlery. You must provide your own refreshments.
The hall opens onto an enclosed garden area, which is paved and has a picnic table.
The rooms, kitchen and garden are accessible. There is an accessible toilet and portable hearing loop, and free wifi throughout.
Hiring rooms for an event
The centre is open for bookings from 8.30am to 8pm, Monday to Sunday. Contact us to discuss your requirements.
You can hire any or all of the rooms, subject to availability. The garden always comes with the hall. The kitchen is shared between all groups using the centre at any given time.
There are no staff at the centre, although we are available by phone and can attend in an emergency.
When you arrange an event, we will give you a code to enter the building and ask you to lock up when you leave. We expect you to leave the centre in the same tidy state that you find it in.
We try to avoid booking concurrent events that might clash with each other, such as children’s parties and business meetings.
Public transport and parking
There is a Citi 1 bus stop nearby. Check Traveline for specific bus routes and times.
There are four uncovered bicycle racks outside the centre, and one disabled parking space. There is no other parking on site.
