The Cambridgeshire Green Infrastructure Strategy is designed to assist in shaping and coordinating the delivery of green infrastructure in the county, to provide social, environmental and economic benefits now and in the future.
The strategy demonstrates how green infrastructure can be used to help to achieve four objectives:
- To reverse the decline in biodiversity
- To mitigate and adapt to climate change
- To promote sustainable growth and economic development
- To support healthy living and well-being
These four objectives were agreed by the Cambridgeshire Green Infrastructure Forum and supported through public consultation.
