There is a thriving community of creative, arts and cultural organisations, freelancers and groups in and around Cambridge. But reports show there is a lack of workspace suitable for them.
In many other cities, disused industrial buildings have been converted to suit the needs of creative businesses. The Greater Cambridge area does not have many of these buildings.
Recent studies and consultations highlight the lack of suitable space.

These reports took place before the coronavirus pandemic, so we commissioned a new report to build on them with South Cambridgeshire District Council.
We wanted to discover whether the pandemic had led to any changes in the supply, demand and needs of local creative businesses. The report will help inform the planning of new workspaces for creative industries.
