Tenancy fraud

Tenancy fraud - which can include unlawful subletting, obtaining housing by deception, unlawful succession or non-residence - can deprive honest people of a home and cost taxpayers money.

Every day, members of the public help us by reporting their concerns. You can help too:

Report suspected fraud now

If you are found guilty of tenancy fraud, you can be imprisoned and must repay any money made from it, plus a fine. You will also permanently lose your security of tenure, meaning your property will be repossessed.
