If a bin is left on your street for 14 days or longer after we empty it, we will investigate it if you report it to us.
Tell us as much as you can about it and include a photograph if possible.
Please check with your neighbours whether the bin belongs to them before you report it.
When we receive your report, we will write to the owner of the bin asking them to retrieve it. If we cannot determine who owns it, we will write to all addresses in the immediate area.
We will also attach a notice to the bin warning that we will remove it if is not retrieved within 14 days.
If the bin is not retrieved within 14 days, we will remove it. If you later realise we have removed your bin, you will need to request a new bin – this might incur a charge.
