Graffiti is illegal and unsightly – it spoils property and can be costly to remove. Help us keep the city clean by telling us if you see any.
We aim to remove graffiti on public land within five days.
If the graffiti is offensive – for example, if it is racist, sexist, obscene or inflammatory – we will aim to remove it within one day, if possible.
We can remove graffiti from walls, gates or fences on private property. Read the section below to find out more.
We can only remove graffiti from a bridge if it is offensive. Read the section below to find out more.

Report graffiti
Our form will ask for details about the graffiti including:
- the exact location – the street name, nearby landmarks, and what it has been painted on
- whether it is on public or private land
- the landowner or occupier’s contact details, if applicable
- a photograph of it, if possible
This information helps us determine what action we can take and arrange consent if needed.
Our form to report graffiti is not working at the moment. Please contact us to tell us where you have seen the graffiti and we’ll report it for you.
Our team’s normal working hours are 6am to 4pm, every day of the year.
Graffiti on private property
The landowner or occupier must provide written consent by completing and signing a waiver form. We will send the waiver by email when we receive your report and arrange to remove the graffiti when we receive the waiver.
Submitting this form does not count as consent – we cannot act until we receive the signed waiver.
Graffiti removal on private property is limited to a safe working height of up to two metres above ground. Removing graffiti above this height will incur a charge for hiring a cherry picker.
If the graffiti needs a specialist removal service, for example because it is on a historic wall or painted surface, we cannot remove it. You will need to hire a contractor.
We shall have no liability whatever for any loss, damage, interference or annoyance suffered by the landowner or occupier of the private property while we remove the graffiti, provided we do so with reasonable skill and care.
If you are not the landowner or occupier, please contact them or the managing agent to make them aware and encourage them to contact us directly. Do not report the graffiti yourself. If you submit a report without the landowner’s details or consent, we cannot take any action and will cancel your report.
Graffiti on bridges
We need consent from Cambridgeshire County Council to remove graffiti from a bridge. They have only authorised us to remove offensive graffiti from bridges.
If the graffiti is not offensive, we cannot take any action – please do not submit this form. You can report a highways fault to Cambridgeshire County Council.
