Discharge of planning conditions: application checklist


Where a planning permission has been granted subject to conditions that require further action prior to or during development you will need to use this form to apply to have these conditions discharged.

The list below details supporting documents that may need to be submitted as part of your application. Please refer to each section below in order to determine whether or not you need to submit it as part of your application.

What is required

You can either use the application form or provide a full written description of the details required to discharge the condition(s).

If you use the application form please ensure that you have completed every section of the application form before submitting.

Where sections or questions are not relevant please state this on the form.

The application form is available on the Planning Portal. To access it, sign in, select ‘start new application’, then select ‘approval of details reserved by a condition (discharge)’.

Always required except for Listed Building Consent conditions.

This will depend on the condition(s) you are applying to discharge.

What is required

Supporting information may include: manufacturer's specifications of materials; plans or drawings; ecological surveys or other relevant information necessary to enable the case officer to consider the application. Any plans or drawings submitted must include a scale bar or metric measurements.
