Abbey People
Abbey People is an independent community group run by a group of trustees and supported by volunteers.
We support the group, which was launched in 2013 having developed from the Abbey Action project.
The group organises a range of events, projects, networking events and activities – including community meetings, events and outings.
It also produces a small newsletter twice a year, in the spring and autumn.

Shaping Abbey
We’re taking a new approach to finding out what people think about proposals for their neighbourhoods across the city. This will allow us to work more closely than ever with residents and other local organisations to help develop the neighbourhoods.
In Abbey ward, in northeast Cambridge, local residents and organisations have come together at a number of community engagement events, as part of the Shaping Abbey project.
The third of these meetings will be on Thursday 3 October. There is no need to book, but you can email shapingabbey@cambridge.gov.uk if you have any questions about the event.
