The planning process involves the determination of applications, ranging from house extensions to bigger residential developments.
Applications can be determined by officers under delegated powers, or by Committee.
Smaller applications have
a target of 8 weeks within which to determine them by, and larger ones within 13 weeks from the date of submission. In that
time the Council will also consult a number of other agencies to help determine the application.
- Making an application: These pages contain information on how to make an application, guidance on when planning permission or consent is required, the application process and the consultation process.
- Monitoring an application: These pages will allow you to monitor current planning applications, through Public Access and in person. More detailed information on major applications is also available.
- General planning advice: These pages hold all of the 'Cambridge Specific' planning advice and should be read if you intend to make a planning application. Leaflets, forms and obligation information is also available.
