Lesbian Gay Bisexual Trans (LGBT) History Month takes place every February.

It aims to create a safe, inclusive and accepting society that celebrates diversity.

2010 festival

The 2010 festival was launched at the Guildhall on Monday 1 February, where the rainbow flag was raised and the Arco samba band attracted a large crowd.

Highlights of this year's festival include visits from speakers including Paul Burston (Wednesday 3 February), Paul Sinha (Monday 15) and Sue Perkins (Thursday 25).

A number of workshops, film screenings and other events take place across the city throughout the month: visit the LGBT History Month cambridgeshire website for full details.

The 2010 festival has been coordinated by Encompass Network in partnership with many local organisations.
